Enchanted Photoshoot

‘Enchanted‘ Plumeria from Jungle Jack’s was one of the plumeria trees that began to bloom earlier than the rest this season. This was the first time I’ve seen the blooms in person and was pretty amazed with the vivid pinks and orange throat of the flower.

What I didn’t expect was the vast variation in colors and patterns the plumeria produced after I was done shooting the time-lapse. When the blooms were exposed to heat while opening the pink was pushed out to a single edge of the petals while the orange throat turned yellow and white and expanded across the petal. When the blooms aged they faded to white, purple and yellow colorations. These blooms also held on to the inflo for a very long time.

While viewing the time-lapse itself, I was able to see movement that I did not expect. The blooms aren’t the only parts of the plumeria that are moving, the entire inflo moves quite a bit as do the leaves. If you found this to be interesting please share!

Know any one that would like to see this thai plumeria? Feel free to share...
