Birth of a new Hibiscus Farm
The birth of a Hibiscus Farm. In the summer of 2022 Charles Black of Hidden Valley Hibiscus announced his retirement. Collectors in the hibiscus community applauded the decades of advancement, hard work and beautiful hibiscus created by Hidden Valley Hibiscus. Many of us wondered where we would purchase new hibiscus in the future, so we thought… why not from us? A highly respected hybridizer and friend of ours Malou Urbano facilitated our vision and a deal was struck between Hidden Valley Hibiscus and Hale Koa Tropicals. Charles Black hand selected some of the best of his 2021 hybridizing program, some of which were new releases and some have never been released, selected stock for future hybridizing and 1,000 HVH seeds hybridized by Charles Black. From this solid foundation, we will be able to grow a new Tropical Hibiscus Farm with new and exciting Hibiscus for Collectors around the world. Hale Koa Hibiscus 2023.
